This morning was torture. I used my Nintendo DS as an alarm clock and it has been the ONLY alarm that has me waking to face reality. The reality is that I want more god damn sleep! My brain demands it! Anyhow i slept for an extra hour being interrupted every 6 mins by the alarm cause i didn't want to be late for work. Got up, staggered to the bathroom, brush my teeth, scavenged for some decent clothes to wear. I accidently left my pants outside on the balcony, gg being melbourne it rained overnight. Typical, anyhow found some jeans i bought on the weekend and ironed my white t-shirt....poorly. Grabbed my macbook and psp and off i went. But wait! I couldnt find my headphones so i spent 20mins ripping the place upside down till i found it behind the couch. And of course the psp was dead too....
Now, lets wind the clock 48-hours. Just cause i can. Oh and we are back to Saturday.
Lets see, i woke up, around 11am started walking on Elizabeth St to the Melbourne markets. EB was having a sale and i couldnt resist. Went in, looked around and found a ps3 bag. Given that my ps3 is getting quite beat, i think it was for the best to fork out $80 and give my $1k machine some more respect that it deserves. Continuing on, oh wait, duh my mum arrived in melbourne at 5am in the morning. Got a phone call around 10am. Discuss what to do today, how are we and what not. Back to Elizabeth St, walked past some insane looking Hondas, Yamahas and Kawasakis. You would think that these things would transform into mechas (ive been watching Eureka Seven, mecha anime). Its like omfg those things would make goku jealous.
Walking, walking, walking, walking, walking (i think i had to walk 2-3km....) and i finally made it to Melbourne markets. I walked straight into the Deli section and grabbed Batwurst Sausage in a bun and a potato cake. *drool*. Since i missed breaky cause of the lack of food in the unit, it would be understandable that i was starving. Went through the fruit and veg section wondering what i would be able to buy later and strolled to the other section (no clue what it is called) where they selling all kinds of stuff. Went through, bought 2 pairs of jeans (pairs indicates 2....2x2=4. English epically fails.) Then i went to buy a belt (found out later it was too big *sigh*). Went around and found a shirt i like (rare event this) and decided to have a look at it. Turns out this guy was trying to sell every shirt in the store >.>; Good salesman cause i bought 2 shirts and a jacket but omg i swear. I tried like 10 different shirts and jackets. But he knew what he was doing, ill put it that way. Actually i might go back if finances allows. I had $780, took out $60 then and another $120 later. Probably not but ill see. $150 for 2 shirts and a jacket is a bargain anyway. But i had to pull out cause i was afraid to spend anymore cause i thought i had $500 left. Money just comes out of nowhere for me.
Oh and a bought another wear around the house jacket that gives the leaves jumper a run for its money in terms of comfort.
Went back in the fruit and veg section and bought a couple things. Eggs, daikon, strawberries, grapes, carrots, etc. Then off to the seafood/meat section. Bought chicken schnitzel, some other chicken thing, 500grams of fresh calmari rings and a piece of salmon (a 4x10cm piece $6!!!!).
At this moment i couldnt carry any more gear. Since i had eggs in the bag, i couldnt overload it. Hiked back to the unit, but not before I came past a gamers store. Buyed FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus, .hack// vol 3 and .hack//GU vol 3 for ps2. Another $150 down.
Managed to get back, collapsed in the unit cause my legs were dead for excruciating pain. Around 4pm now. I put the stuff away and got ready to leave for my uncles. Wore my new pants, shirt and jacket (just saying, like anyone gives a shit) and walked to Burke St to take tram to Bundoora Hill. Took an hour or something. Then walked to the mansion. Walked in, sayed hi to mum and uncle and aunt. Blah blah blahing and then my uncle wanted me to get his projector going. Looking through, it has no HDMI, hmm 2-3 years old, hmm around $5-6 projector. My uncle comes in going "Is the projector good? You know i payed $16000 for that"...!!! Say what!? $16000 and you do not have a upscaling DVD or Blu-ray! *sighs at failure*. He should really ask someone who is knowledgeable in the field. Not to burst anyone's bubble but ie myself.
Anyway, got it all set up. Had some problems at start. I think the dvd or projector was trying to adjust cause it had some scan problems. Though after a while it worked damn well. Contrast ratio (contrast between white and black) was insane and the sound system is freaking awesome. Cant wait to hook up my ps3 up with full surround sound and projector XD.
After my other aunt and uncle and cousins came around. Said hi and then went to the Don's. Some Italian/anything restaurant somewhere. Mucked around and talked. I ordered Seafood basket cause i just love fish and chips. But....the fish they gave me was sardines! SARDINES! Out of all the fish in the sea, they give me sardines. Bah. Everytime i looked in the menu though, i just keep thinking about this particular explaination to an answer at jenny craig. "The main focus should on the people and the social event, not the food or beverags." Im like fuck that, im there to eat and eat i shall! Ill eat a cow if i have to.
After that was done and done, went back to my uncles and watched "The Golden Compass" on his projector. Its like being at the movies. The projector is that damn good.
After that epic movie (more than 2hrs i think) I went back to the unit. On the way back i need to take a piss somewhere. Scared that i would miss the tram, i was contemplating on whether if i should or shouldnt find some tree. After awhile i cbfed holding it and found a tree. Of course the tram went past didnt it... -.-.
So i cranked out my laptop, got my wireless broadband card out surfed the internet till the tram came. Then decided to play FFXI on the tram to Melbourne. Got off a couple stops too early to had to trek back to the unit.
After arrival, i just feel asleep.
Sunday morning i woke up around 10am. Cranked out my laptop and played ffxi. Before i knew it, it was 4pm and decided to get some shopping done. Went and bought some food then came back and played ffxi till 11. Then went asleep.
Now back to present. Matt was apparently in melbourne last weekend and didnt tell me. Bitch. jk. Anyhow after a day gone, 4pm now, i think i spent the majority on this blog, but meh, they, the boss dont know so all is cool.
Matt better not skip out on me next time. >.>
Anyway, as i do finish blogs,
